PUBLISHING DATE

In 2021, Printing International was awarded a silver medal by Ecovadis, a social responsibility assessment system for businesses. This medal displays the quality of Printing International’s sustainability management.

Specialist manufacturer of automatic and manual pad printing machines, Printing International, based in Belgium, supplies machines as well as consumables – inks, pads and other accessories. The company has not stopped innovating since its creation more than 45 years ago with the ambition, according to its founder and general manager, Laurent Devolder, “to provide the best pad printing machines to my customers”.

He has been consistently innovating for 45 years, developing new technologies and machines. He was the first to introduce pad cleaning to the industry, in so doing improving the quality of printing across the board. One research and innovation unit has the aim of creating new machines ever better suited to market demand, while still respecting stricter environmental criteria.

Printing International therefore offers a complete choice for pad printing, as well as reliable and complete after-sales support. This service includes training for all qualification levels, start-up support, process/camera optimisation, preventive maintenance and repairs on or off site across the globe.

Award-winning durability

The excellence that defines Printing International is bearing fruit. In 2021, the Belgian firm obtained an Ecovadis silver medal, demonstrating the quality of Printing International’s sustainability management.

Printing International’s strong points, recognised by Ecovadis, are:

  • Purchase and/or production of renewable energy
  • Improvement of energy efficiency by upgrading technology or equipment
  • Measures to reuse or recycle waste
  • Reduction of water consumption through innovative equipment, methods or technologies
  • Internal audits on health and safety issues
  • Provision of protective equipment to all impacted employees
  • Employee health and safety detailed risk assessment

The EcoVadis system offers a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment service, via a global SaaS platform. The assessment covers a broad spectrum of non-financial management systems, particularly in relation to the environment, social and human rights, ethics and responsible purchasing. Each company is evaluated on essential issues according to its size, location and sector of activity. It is then marked from 0 to 100, with medals (bronze, silver, gold) also being awarded, if merited.
