The Markem-Imaje 9712 bi-jet: it works for two!
The new Markem-Imaje coder allows manufacturers to use just one machine to print their complex codes
At the ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS trade fair, Markem-Imaje is launching the 9712 dual-jet coder, a continuous inkjet printer designed for manufacturers who need to print particularly large codes (including 2D codes) or include large amounts of information on each product.
As we know, product coding in sectors such as construction, pharmaceuticals and food can be particularly challenging, whether due to product clutter or the complexity of the information to be integrated into the code. ‘Meeting these requirements has often required the use of two standard continuous inkjet printers. In some cases, this has even meant slowing down production lines. In addition, manufacturers have had to make uncomfortable compromises, such as printing less data or using sub-optimal font sizes,’ recalls Markem-Imaje, which is responding to this difficulty by launching this new machine.
‘By coding twice as fast or printing twice as much data, the compact printing capacity of the 9712 and the properties of the bi-jet print head eliminate these compromises and improve production line performance, while providing an excellent code,’ says the manufacturer to promote this new coder, which reduces investment costs and minimises operational expenses.
