Swiss packaging manufacturer Aluflexpack, an exhibitor at ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS 2023, has just been taken over by Austrian group Constantia Flexibles.

In a press release dated 16 February 2024, the Constantia Flexibles group announced that it had signed an agreement to acquire more than half (57%) of the shares in packaging manufacturer Aluflexpack. At the same time, the group is launching a cash tender offer for all publicly held registered shares in Aluflexpack.

With the acquisition of a player operating at 14 sites across Europe and employing nearly 1,500 people, Constantia Flexibles is adding to its portfolio of solutions, particularly in the aluminium packaging sector. “This acquisition fits in perfectly with our Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to position Constantia Flexibles as a major player in flexible packaging in Europe and worldwide. The combination of our activities represents an excellent strategic and cultural fit. It will enable us to better serve our customers with an enhanced sustainable product range supported by a fully integrated technology portfolio while extending our geographic reach,” said Pim Vervaat, CEO of Constantia Flexibles.
“The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024, pending regulatory approvals,” the press release said.
