Jérôme Gérard, Sales Manager at Ulma, tells us more about the company and his motivations for participating at ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022.

Ulma is based in Spain and employs around 5,000 people worldwide. The company is active in nine different business areas including Ulma Packaging, which accounts for one third of the company’s business. Today, it is present in 28 countries and distributes its machines in almost 80 different countries.

The company offers global solutions to its customers providing them with complete line solutions, from flowpack machines to tray sealers or thermoformers for a very wide range of food including meat, fish, bakery and confectionery, as well as pharmaceutical industries.

Ulma’s resolutions for ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022

In addition to designing new, more efficient and ergonomic devices, Ulma is also focusing on making the materials used in its machines as durable as possible, and thus making them as adaptable as possible to the latest developments in this area.

“We work a lot with manufacturers and suppliers to test new, more durable packaging materials […] and thus design the most versatile and high-performance machines possible, so that they can be adapted as much as possible to the different sectors and to the evolution towards new packaging materials,” explains Mr Gérard.

“ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022 is also an opportunity for us to reaffirm these kinds of ambitions, particularly through our #ULMAweCare project, which covers several areas of research and development, pursuing innovation in sustainable designs and applications across our range of packaging machines,” he continues.

The company’s stand featured some of these machines on display, including the FR500, a flowpack machine capable of packaging small products at up to 1,000 units per minute, and the TSA680 traysealer, also designed for high speeds.
