The Schmaltz company exhibited its latest innovations at ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022, which took place from November 21 to 24 in Villepinte. Sylvain Lecourtois, general manager, and his team were present at the show and answered our questions.
Founded in 1910, Schmaltz is today the market leader in vacuum automation and ergonomic handling systems.
The company uses all its know-how in automation, handling and clamping technology to create more efficient and ergonomic production lines for operators in a wide range of industries: automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, glass and wood industries, logistics, packaging, etc.
“At Schmaltz, we are specialists in the vacuum technology,” says Sylvain Lecourtois, general manager. We strive to meet the specific requirements of the various sectors in order to offer tailor-made solutions to those who call on us. Our leitmotif is innovation.”
Diversity as an asset
“There are more than 6,000 individual Schmaltz components for vacuum: various suction cups, special grippers, vacuum generators… But we also provide complete solutions in the form of large-area gripping systems, layer grippers or even spiders.”
Thanks to their modular design, Schmaltz systems can be easily integrated into existing installations and are ready for connection, allowing for unparalleled flexibility of use.
JumboFlex and FlexPicker are the stars of the Schmaltz stand
The JumboFlex.
Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, the JumboFlex50 gripping system was designed to facilitate manual work and handling procedures, ensuring the simple and efficient handling of parts weighing up to 50 kilograms.
The JumboFlex is extremely efficient thanks to its crossbar system that allows up to four suction cups to be connected to the same tube, with the ability to change them quickly depending on the type of parts to be handled. Finally, the device is distinguished by an exceptional comfort of use for the operator thanks to its ergonomic handle with wide grip and its very great operational maneuverability.
The technology, adapted to a mobile system called “FlexPicker”, can be used to prepare orders in picking areas.
