Schunk stood out at ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022
The specialist in automated gripping and clamping solutions was at the ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022 exhibition and presented its latest innovations on its stand. Marc Durand, North East regional manager at Schunk, told us more about it.
Schunk is undoubtedly one of the leading companies when it comes to the design and manufacture of automatic gripping and automation solutions across all sectors of the industry.
The company is committed to developing more and more solutions for its customers, including the development of grippers with a variety of gripping functions and powerful automation systems that are increasingly flexible and precise.
Adheso, the biologically inspired Schunk grip
This new naturally inspired gripping technology is based on the principle of adhesion by copying the
amazing abilities of the gecko’s legs: it uses intermolecular Van der Walls forces to manipulate different parts quickly and precisely, with a bearing capacity of about one kilogram per square centimetre. “We are extremely proud to present this unique technology at ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022,” says Marc Durand.
The advantage of this type of gripper is that it is more durable than conventional gripping systems, as it does not require any additional energy to operate. In addition, this technology does not generate any residue or particles, which makes it particularly relevant for scientific, electronic, medical and other sectors that depend on cleanroom applications.
