Markem-Imaje unveils the Ultraply range
His range of printing and application consumables meets the growing demand for scannable 2D barcodes
Markem-Imaje, a provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions and industrial marking and coding systems, has launched the Ultraply range of self-adhesive tapes and labels for its print and apply labellers. The Ultraply brand comprises four tape and label solutions to cover all case and pallet labelling needs.
‘ With the exponential growth of e-commerce and direct-to-consumer models, there is an ever-increasing need to produce high-quality, phone-scannable 2D barcodes, a technology in which Markem-Imaje P&A labellers excel, as well as offering other benefits,’ explains Markem-Imaje, In addition to providing legible and durable 1D and 2D codes that comply with the most stringent food regulations, Ultraply consumables are designed to ‘ maximise printhead life, reduce scrap and use fewer resources than other P&A consumables, while being completely safe to handle ’.
Of the four Ultraply consumable solutions, Premium ribbons and labels are designed for applications requiring high levels of rub or solvent resistance and are suitable for synthetic label materials. ‘ Ultraply Performance consumables offer a high level of versatility to produce durable codes on a wide range of materials, while Ultraply Prime consumables are the most cost-effective in the range, while ensuring reliable code quality and optimised performance,’ says Markem-Imaje.
