On Wednesday 20 September 2023, from 5pm to 6.30pm, the ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS conference will be held as part of Paris Retail Week, in Pavilion 4 at Paris Porte de Versailles. This event will bring together experts from the fields of packaging, retail and environmental protection to discuss packaging practices, uses and regulations in retail.

The event will be introduced by Guillaume Schaeffer, Exhibition Director at ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, who will present the objectives and programme of the meeting.

The first session, from 5.10pm to 5.30pm, will be devoted to a cross-cutting interview on the current state of packaging in retail, focusing on practices, customs and regulations in France and Europe. The speakers will be Fabrice Peltier, expert consultant in packaging eco-design, François Momboisse, Chairman of FEVAD (Fédération du e-commerce et de la vente à distance), and Bertrand Swiderki, CSR Director at Carrefour and CEO of PERIFEM (Fédération technique du commerce). They will be discussing new forms of packaging, consumer expectations and the challenges facing the sector.

The second session, from 5.30pm to 6.10pm, will be a round-table discussion bringing together four high-level speakers to discuss the strategy to be deployed for “sensible and reasonable” packaging throughout the value chain, from design to marketing. This discussion will highlight the challenges facing packaging in the traditional retail sector in a rapidly changing distribution context, particularly with e-commerce, and the challenges of the ecological transition. Key issues addressed will include reducing packaging layers, integrating sustainable and ecological practices into the supply chain, and raising awareness of new practices and uses among staff and consumers.

Speakers at this round table will include a logistics/supply chain director, an e-commerce retail director, a packaging director, a CSR director and a product marketing director or shop manager. Their varied expertise will enable them to address the different facets of the challenge posed by the design of responsible packaging adapted to the new realities of retail.

The event will provide a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practice and explore innovations in retail packaging in the context of environmental protection. Industry professionals, decision-makers, researchers and others committed to sustainable development are invited to take part in this enriching event.
