Resilux closes the loop on UHT bottles
With its Rebirth series, Resilux continues its commitment to circularity.
Exhibiting at ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, Resilux is a Belgian company specialising in the production of PET preforms and bottles in customised solutions for numerous markets such as beverages, food and non-food products (detergents, cosmetics, etc.).
The manufacturer now offers to ‘close the loop on opaque white milk bottles’ with its Rebirth series, which comes standard with a ResiBlock® light barrier to protect milk and keep it fresh and tasty.
In the press release accompanying this announcement, Resilux details the process that enables it to close this virtuous loop starting with its milk bottle:
- Cooperation with a local waste management organisation
- Sorting and washing of bottles
- Reduction to flakes
- Agglomeration into granules
- Injection into preforms
- Blowing into the desired shape
Resilux produces nearly 7 billion preforms and 500 million bottles, generating annual revenue of approximately €320 million.
