New developments in cleanrooms with Pöppelmann
Pöppelmann FAMAC has reached a milestone in cleanroom production with the launch of a fully automated packaging line specially designed to meet the strict requirements of the pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
As an exhibitor at ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, Pöppelmann has just inaugurated a new 222 m² cleanroom, which adds to the existing 650 m². This new room incorporates latest-generation injection moulding machines capable of closing with a force of up to 900 tonnes and an encapsulated lubrication system, ensuring the production of large formats in accordance with high cleanliness standards. Compliant with DIN EN ISO class 7 and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, these facilities enable reliable and precise manufacturing. The parts produced are picked up by robots, checked by camera and then transported by autonomous vehicles to the packaging area.
The packaging is sealed in clean room bags and labelled with an RFID chip containing all the batch data. This information is checked at each stage, preventing any mix-ups and ensuring complete traceability. Mandatory double packaging and the ‘RFID door’ enhance security, and customers will soon be able to use this RFID data directly to automate their own logistics flows.
The expansion is set to continue with the ‘HORIZON’ project, which will add an additional 500 m² to the complex.
