Coesia acquires Autoware
With this new acquisition, Coesia is realising its ambition to become a European leader in smart manufacturing solutions.
Coesia, a leading provider of advanced industrial and packaging solutions and exhibitor at ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Autoware, an international manufacturing software integrator specialising in manufacturing operations management software, supply chain operations and process control.
Autoware’s portfolio includes several manufacturing execution systems (MES), manufacturing operations management (MOM) software and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solutions for companies in the food and beverage, consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries.
This acquisition marks an important step in Coesia’s digital transformation. ‘By combining Autoware’s deep digital expertise with the group’s extensive industry knowledge, we are expanding our ability to deliver comprehensive, transparent solutions that improve efficiency, drive innovation and meet the evolving needs of manufacturers around the world,’ said Alessandro Parimbelli, CEO of Coesia.
Based in Bologna, the group now comprises some 20 companies specialising in cutting-edge technologies for industrial automation and packaging, with a total turnover of nearly €2.1 billion.
