Specifically, Aranco offers its customers the ability to know, view and control the actual packaging cost of each pallet from all their packaging machines, helping them to control consumption, optimise performance targets and detect malfunctions and inefficiencies.

To do this, Aranco uses technology integrated into the wrapping machines that records the exact film consumption in metres and the actual cost, pallet by pallet, enabling detailed control and monitoring of the target cost per pallet (Target Cost per Pallet or TCP). “In our WaaS service, this technology is incorporated into the Aranco wrapping machines that we supply at no extra cost. In the Dos and CdS services, we incorporate our capture device into the customer’s own packaging machines,” explains Aranco, who lists the advantages of such a service:

• Monitor data on a daily basis (control of exact film consumption per site, per wrapping machine and per reel),
• Guaranteed load security (control of film performance and cycles/turns of wrapped pallets),
• Detection and correction of discrepancies (film consumption discrepancies detected by inefficiency notifications),
• Viewing and control from an online platform.

Aranco also offers the option of connecting to its customers’ management systems via an API, facilitating the incorporation of real packaging cost data into the customer’s ERP or dashboard.
