Packaging is undergoing a profound transformation driven by consumer expectations, regulations and innovation. During her speech at the La Conso s’engage congress organised by LSA, Chantal de Lamotte, Director of ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, highlighted the strategic role of the 2026 trade show in supporting this transition.

Packaging & consumer goods: two sectors undergoing major change

The global packaging market is expected to reach $1,452.86 billion by 2032, with an average annual growth rate of 3.93% between 2025 and 2032. But beyond growth, it is the transformation of the sector that is attracting attention.

This was the message conveyed by Chantal de Lamotte, director of the ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS trade show, on 18 September during her speech at La Conso s’engage, an event organised by LSA that brings together decision-makers from the retail and consumer goods sectors every year to discuss sustainability issues.

In France, the trend is clear: 71% of consumers favour sustainable packaging (OpinionWay, April 2024). At the same time, the AGEC law requires that the proportion of disposable packaging in mass retail be limited to 10% by the end of 2025. However, in 2023, only 2.2% of packaging was reused. This observation confirms the urgent need for action.

ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS 2026: a strategic event for the industry

Against this backdrop, the ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS 2026 trade show, to be held in Paris in November 2026, aims to provide a concrete response to market expectations. With 1,000 exhibitors and brands covering the entire packaging value chain, it is positioned as the place where the packaging industry and the world of consumer goods meet. ‘Our role is to support the transformation of the sector by creating a meeting place for all players in the packaging industry,’ said Chantal de Lamotte at the La Conso s’engage congress.

More than just a showcase, the exhibition aims to be a catalyst for change in a packaging industry seeking concrete and sustainable solutions. To this end, the 2026 edition will highlight a number of initiatives:

  • Activity areas: to illustrate developments in packaging and promote innovations suited to the consumer goods sector, among others.
  • Paris Talks: conferences bringing together experts, manufacturers and distributors to analyse packaging trends in European supermarkets and beyond.
  • Business+: a programme of qualified meetings to help create strategic partnerships between brands, distributors and solution providers.
  • Annual webinars: to continue discussions and bring together the professional community between editions.

Packaging, sustainability and innovation at the heart of discussions

Three priorities will be at the heart of the debates:

  • Reducing disposable packaging in favour of ‘just packaging’ solutions,
  • Developing recycling and reusability of packaging,
  • Accelerating the use of more environmentally friendly materials.

These themes resonate particularly well with the issues addressed by La Conso s’engage and find a natural sounding board at ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS. Exhibitors will offer concrete solutions, enriched by international feedback, which will enable the consumer goods industry to draw inspiration from best practices.

Join us for our webinars between now and the end of the year and at the trade show in 2026 to discover the solutions that will shape the packaging of tomorrow.
