Pôle Emballage Bois comes to ALL4PACK Emballage Paris with its Emballage Bois Village and a TV show

PUBLISHING DATE

Pôle Emballage Bois, which represents three organisations in the French wood packaging sector (SIEL, SEILA and the FNB/SYPAL Pallet Commission), is presenting a Wood Packaging Village for the first time at ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022. The cluster will also host the “Notre Forêt Demain” programme hosted by Stéphane Thebaut throughout the day on Wednesday 23 November on stand 050, hall 5.

Wood finds itself in a good position to respond to the aspirations expressed by the management of ALL4PACK Emballage Paris and the wider industry, which is seeking to promote sustainable packaging. Wood could therefore be the material of the future and help create a decarbonised and sustainable sector.

For the first time, a Wooden Packaging Village is being presented by the Pôle Emballage Bois around a 130m2 stand to show the diversity of wooden packaging solutions. This strong presence responds to the ambitions of ALL4PACK Emballage Paris, which is positioned as ‘THE’ international trade fair for all sustainable packaging and intralogistics solutions.

Wood, a French asset

The Pôle Emballage Bois, a consortium of professional organisations, represents light packaging, industrial packaging and crates, but also the pallet sector. The cluster promotes the use of wood in packaging, as well as the professions it represents; it promotes the “made in France” know-how of companies, their capacity for innovation and adaptation to public authorities, packaging user industries and consumers; it also highlights the benefits of wood packaging, its role in the circular economy and its capacity to respond to the environmental challenges of today and tomorrow.

The “Pôle Emballage Bois” is an economic force to be reckoned with in France. France is the European leader in the production of wooden packaging. The sector represents 860 companies, employing 17,400 people, and generated a turnover of 1.5 billion euros in 2019.

At ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022, the Pôle Emballage Bois wishes to make the event a highlight for the (re)acknowledgement of the wood material in the packaging industry. Indeed, for several months now and in the current context, wood packaging has been seen as a solution increasingly sought after by users in view of its economic and environmental advantages.

Television to raise public awareness

To raise awareness among the exhibition public, a real TV set will be dedicated to wood packaging, the packaging of the future, on the stand of the Pôle Emballage Bois at the ALL4PACK Emballage Paris exhibition, on Wednesday 23 November.

The programme for this full day of TV shows, includes the end of life of wooden packaging, the environmental commitments of the sector, the market evolutions, the adaptability of industrial packaging to products, light wooden packaging or the reuse of used pallets.

In a teaser, Stéphane Thebaut explains that he will be hosting the whole day of 23 November with debates, interviews and visits to some stands. “It will be a real TV show at the exhibition. An opportunity to learn more about sustainable and responsible forest management, the manufacture of light packaging, but also pallets or industrial packaging.”

“The packaging of the future is already here and it’s made of wood!” says Stéphane Thebaut. To be discovered during the four days at the Emballage Bois Village and also during the show on 23 November at ALL4PACK Emballage Paris.
