Innovia was present at the ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022 trade show. Patricia Potts, communication manager at Innovia, took the time to tell us more about the company and the reasons for its presence at the show.

Innovia films

Innovia Films is dedicated to the production of new flexible Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) or Cast Polypropylene (CPP) films and packaging based on “Bubble” and “Tenter” technologies for the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Designed to reduce the product’s carbon footprint, these films and packages offer technical performance in terms of preservation and protection, while maintaining full recyclability. The company presented some concrete examples of its latest solutions at the show, designed to extend shelf life with less food waste.

Food protection according to Innovia

Innovia Films is launching the next film in its new Propafilm Strata range of transparent high barrier, mono structure, packaging films. SLF is a chlorine free film that delivers exceptional barrier levels to oxygen, moisture, aroma and mineral oils. It has been designed with a wide sealing range making it perfect for high speed horizontal-form-fill-seal packaging of biscuits, bakery and confectionery type products. It is also printable and approved for food contact worldwide.

Other products from the Innovia range were also on display at the stand, including the “RayoFace” and “RayoForm” ranges, which are based on BOPP films for different labelling effects, and “Propacast”, a transparent cast polypropylene film specifically designed for laminating solutions.

“All our products are designed to improve the recyclability of polyolefin containers and PET bottles to meet Plastic Recyclers Europe’s packaging design guidelines and to support the ‘Design for Recycling’ programme,” says Patricia Potts, expressing her satisfaction at being able to introduce this series of innovations at ALL4PACK Emballage Paris 2022.
