Vx350i: Domino’s new model for printing on flexible films and labels
With this latest addition to its range of thermal transfer coders, Domino, the specialist in variable data printing solutions, has launched a new high-speed, high-performance model
A new high-speed, high-performance model: this is how Domino presents the Vx350i, designed to integrate easily with flexible packaging machines. ‘Its printhead technology has been improved to print faster when using standard thermal transfer ribbons and resin-based ribbons, and it produces high-quality, durable, scratch-resistant codes without compromising production performance,’ says Domino, Domino also states that the Vx350i has been developed ‘to accommodate standard and resin-based ribbons without loss of speed for high-resolution 2D code printing that will stand the test of time, without impacting production performance’.
Domino’s new Vx350i uses a combination of direct-drive ribbon technology and advanced printheads for enhanced thermal transfer, to achieve industry-leading speeds with resin-based ribbons. ‘What’s more, the Vx350i has been designed to work with rollers up to 55% longer than other printers in the Vx Series range, enabling longer print runs without interrupting production,’ says Domino.
By encompassing a wide range of printer formats and interfaces, the Vx350i caters for a wide range of applications. ‘This compact solution integrates perfectly into packaging machine lines, including vertical and horizontal bagging machines, while also appealing to food manufacturers with packaging lines where space is limited. In this case, a single-case, encoder-only configuration provides a significant competitive advantage over the dual-case TTO systems often found on the market. (…) All versions of the Vx350i are much smaller than Domino’s previous generation of TTO encoders, making it easy to replace older or competing models by re-using existing brackets,’ says Domino.
