Based in Italy, Akomag specialises in the design and production of machinery for the bottling industry and in particular, bottle-washing machines and crate and large bottle-washers.

After 20 years, Akomag is a leading company in the production of machines for washing bottles, large bottles and crates. The Parma-based company was established in 2000. Since then, what was once a small-scale business has grown considerably. It now employs 25 people at its premises of more than 3000 square metres in the heart of the Emilia Romagna region. A large part of the production comes out of Parma, but Akomag also works with a network of external companies for the production of specific parts in its machine assembly.

Akomag has established itself as an important player not only in Italy but across Europe, as well as in the United States, Canada, Africa and Asia. The company manufactures washers for bottles or flasks, rinsers, sterilisers and wash machines for the bottling industry.

Akomag director Marco Triulzi described the company’s positioning in the bottling market in a 2019 interview:

“Our company has grown gradually and continuously since 2000. We can boast a consolidated experience in the sector, which allows us to bring to the market high quality products at an affordable and competitive price.”

He adds: “Our main goal is to develop the organisational structure of the company according to the real needs of the market and the increase in orders.”

Akomag’s bottle-washing machines are suitable for all types of use and customer: producers of wine, mineral water, spirits, beer, fruit juices and various soft drinks, milk and oil. The materials are suitable for both glass and recycled PET plastic.

Machines adapted for any customer capacity

“We specialise in bottle-washers, whether salvaged or new. Our machines are able to meet all production requirements, from the winemaker who has a small cellar to large facilities that process up to 60,000 bottles per hour,” said Marco Triulzi in his interview.

Akomag offers around a dozen washers for different types of containers. There are the bottle-washers, adapted to the capacities of its customers. The Combi and Genesi series are aimed at the smaller market needs with an operating capacity from a few bottles to up to 4,000 bottles per hour. Taurus covers average needs: from 1,500 to 6,000 bottles per hour. Finally, the Hydra and Hydra HP series can respectively cover production rates of up to 50,000 bottles per hour, or even up to 60,000 bottles per hour.

As for the crate-washers, the Fury series is fully automatic and available in different sizes and types depending on production needs. Its features include high pressure stainless steel pumps, automatic level control in the tanks, self-cleaning filters in the spray tanks, automatic control of working temperature and forward speed and an electrical system executed with an IP 55 degree of protection.

Meanwhile the large bottle-washers, Sira and Sira G, can process PET and/or PC containers with capacities of 3,4,5 and 6 gallons. With a completely innovative design (all the process integrated in a single machine), Sira G can be ordered in a semi-automatic and fully automatic version.
